When you reach Xilitla after your journey from Valles you will be greeted by friendly faces, fresh produce, and very inexpensive prices. There are homes that perch themselves on the green hills and the grounds are used to farm coffee by the people that live here. In Xilitla there are many caves, waterfalls, flower sanctuaries, animals, and rivers that you can go rafting on. The most famous attraction here are the pozas which means pools. The pozas were erected by an English Tycoon named Ed James. His ideas brought three waterfalls into a brilliant landscape of colorful pavement and living flowers. The central bus station is located on the hill on the lower side of town. All the buses to Xilitla first go through Valles which is located a couple hours to the north of here. You can take the Vecedor bus to Ciudad Valles in a couple hours and pay 60 pesos, you can also take the bus to San Luis Potosi in seven hours and you will pay 235 ...    less

This is an area that focuses on light industry. If you find yourself in very hot Torreon you will want to checkout Cristo de Las Noas which is a very tall stature of Christ and remains to be the third largest statue depicting Christ in the entire world. You will also not want to miss the vineyards of Parra’s de la Fuente. You will find that the bus station of Torreon is about three miles from the center to the east. You have the option for many side trips from Torreon such as Durango which is about a three hour drive and will cost you 175 pesos. You may also want to check out Guadalajara which is about ten hours by bus and will cost you 430 pesos. You can go to Matamoros in about ten hours and will pay 425 pesos. Cuatro Cienegas does have one of the best ecotourism parks in Mexico where you will be able to see some of the best wild life and have a real exciting adventure. You will find Cuatro Cienegas to be situated in a valley between a couple mountain ranges. You will find that there is a marshy area where there is an unusual and unique biosphere of desert, flora, and fauna which you will not see anywhere else in the Chihuahua Desert. There you can see the Maya ruins constructed of adobe like brick rather than traditional stone. Chiapas is also well known as chocolate country. There are working chocolate plantations and you can tour them to see how cacao is grown and processed. Comalcalco Arehaeological Zone The ruins can be toured from 8am – 5pm daily. This area is a thick green agricultural area. The earliest ruins are dated around A.D. 250 and are made from large mounds of dirt. These are not your traditional stone ruins. The Tabasco environment is more of a swampy wet climate, therefore making a stone quarry very difficult. Around A.D. 500-700 bricks were created using an alternative method. The bricks were made of a crushed oyster shells that were fired in kilns and mixed with dirt. Theses were used to cove the packed-dirt temples and were then carved with intricate designs, glyphs and unique patterns...    less

However, the quality of the Maya ruins and artifacts are some of the most incredible remains with their intricate designs, architecture, delicate carvings and amazing paintings. The amazing site of the Palenque Archaeological area and Chiapas displays the most beautiful and historical Maya world. Visitors have been in awe by the grandure and class of the meager size and scale of this Maya world over many centuries of its continuation and stability. It is a world class tourist attraction even though the town of Palenque does not even come near the standard of excellence, grandure and beauty that this Maya city displays. The limestone riverbed is covered in deep turquoise colored water from the Rio Tulija. Cancun is one of the finest beach destinations in the world. Today it is more American than Mexican in nature. This all took place in roughly 1974. In less than three decades it was transformed from an isolated beach into a five star resort. This was done by a group of Mexican computer analysts that saw Cancun as a great investment opportunity. Cancun has suffered losses from Hurricane Wilma and several other tropical storms and has emerged stronger and more state of the art each time. Each storm forced upgrades, re- models and more and more luxurious accommodations. The allure of Cancun is definitely its Caribbean Beach. Cancun is just a 15 mile stretch of land encompassed by breathtaking beaches that run 15 miles and connect to the main land by two bridges. Nichupte Lagoon separates modern Cancun from its jungle past. Cancun provides a cultural feel and the highest quality accommodations around. You can visit the ruins of Tulum, Chichen Itza and Coba. Cancun has incredible accommodations where one can l

Located within the Michoacán state you will find Uruapan. Uruapan was found in the early 1500's by a Spanish monk. This monk put a Perepecha name on it and it is translated to mean "a time when a plant bears fruit and flowers simultaneously" and can also be known as " Eternal Spring." Uruapan is very well known for its avocados and they even have a festival for avocados in the latter part of November. Uruapan also has a healthy growth of chocolate, coffee and several indigenous fruits. Uruapan is a very heavy agricultural area. In the 1500's the Americas first hospital was here called Museo de los Cuatros Pueblos Indio’s, however it is no longer a hospital it has been turned into a museum. It is a rather small building with not a lot of room which makes it hard to believe it ever served as a hospital. Within this small museum you will find a lot of laquerware with cedar done by local craftsmen. An amazing tropical water park you will not want to miss is Parque Nacional Eduardo Ruia. In this park you will see

Tulum is set in the Caribbean to the south of Akumal. Tulum draws most of its traffic due to many wonderful archaeological sites and because it has a very convenient location in relation to that of Cancun. Tulum is similar to Playa del Carmen because you will notice lots of influence form the international world and because so many of its visitors are from Europe craving exploration and adventure and this number continues to grow each year. Unusual petite beach resorts, luxury spas, down home hotels, delicious dining, lively bars, and endless shops and boutiques are some of the attractions you will enjoy while traveling to Tulum. There is a village in Tulum where you can find any incidentals that you may need for your trip. You will have the convenience of scuba diving stands, rental car stations, moped rentals, bicycle rentals and pretty much any sport known there has some kind of assistance available. You have the availability to ride a bus in Playa del Carmen that makes many trips back and forth from Tulum
